Mystery

Google "haunted St. Augustine" and about 497,000 results pop up.  There is definitely more to this city than meets the eye, and countless individuals have heard, seen, and felt proof of the afterlife here.  I am fascinated/terrified of the paranormal, and elements of that feature prominently throughout "Confessions."

Our first request is for the St. Augustine Lighthouse.  And though it is across the bay from the Waverly House, it is not featured prominently until Book 3.  But it is definitely important to the story, and that is foreshadowed in Book 1.

Most of you who grew up here probably toured the lighthouse on an elementary fieldtrip and never looked back.  I know my first trip there was less-than-spectacular.  I don't remember anything about the museum back then, and when we climbed all the way to the top of the tower, we weren't allowed out onto the balcony because of a yellow-jackets nest.  I was totally bummed.

And besides a quick look in the museum (which is really well-done, btw), I haven't been back since, so that's my self-assignment.  I have definitely heard/read lots of creepy stories about this place, and am looking forward to digging deeper. In the meantime, here is a super-creepy excerpt from when the TAPS team investigation, still gives me chills... Enjoy!
