In my wildest dreams, these actors would be playing these characters when my book gets famous and they make it into a movie :) Imagining them really helped me visualize the scenes while writing, and to me they are very real.
Alexandra Waverly- the oldest of the Waverly sisters, Alex is the first to experience their unique "gifts." She is frightened by the power she possesses and the overwhelmed with the responsibility that comes with it. Motivated by fear, she abandons her family and her life in St. Augustine, and motivated by desperation, she returns. But as she learns to embrace her abilities and face her fears, she takes control of her own destiny.
Samantha Waverly- the middle sister, Sam is a gentle and steadfast soul. Stepping into the shoes Alex left behind, she cares for the family, the house, and the business with great patience and perseverance. But under the scrupulous eye of Evelyn, Sam's orderliness and self-control has reached an excessive and potentially dangerous extreme. She is thrilled at Alex's return, but uncomfortable when chaos tumbles into their lives and secrets begin to emerge.
Josephine Waverly- the youngest Waverly sister, Joe is wildly edgy and rebellious. Bitter toward everyone in her life, she is at first a character of destruction. But as she discovers and begins developing her gifts, she learns to forgive and move on. She becomes very passionate about the sisters' greater purpose, and is the mastermind behind their plan to save the city.
Catalina Waverly- the mother of the 3 Waverly girls, who mysteriously disappears. Catalina is the free-spirited, bohemian daughter of Evelyn. Under her mother's domineering and sometimes cruel control, she learns to use her gift as a means of escape. A passionate but dangerous love affair estranges her from her mother and separates her from her daughters. She is a deeply troubled and conflicted woman, but she has accepted her fate and trusts the future to her daughters.
Evelyn Waverly- grandmother of the Waverly sisters, Evelyn is the first in a long line of Waverly women to reject her gifts in favor of a normal life. She has seen the damage the gift can do and seeks to save herself and her daughter from the same tragic end. When her daughter, Catalina rebels against her, she disowns her. As each of Catalina's daughters come into Evelyn's care, she seeks to impose her beliefs on them as well, distorting the truth and covering up family secrets that she believes will only complicate their lives.
G.G.- the great grandmother of the Waverly sisters, G.G. suffers from dementia. She is an eccentric, whimsical woman who believes in embracing their gifts and as such is a great nuisance to her daughter, Evelyn. When G.G. suffers a stroke, Evelyn takes over at the Inn, moving in with her young daughter, Catalina. G.G. respects Evelyn's attempt at a normal life, but when Catalina's gifts start to emerge, G.G. and Evelyn's differing opinions start a huge rift between them.
