Inspired by...

St. Augustine is an incredibly inspirational city, and a great place for budding writers, artists, musicians, and the like.  This page is dedicated to showcasing some of my other creative projects this city has inpired.  I'd really love to create some pieces inspired by scenes, themes, and symbolism in the book, maybe even some cool quote art.  Now accepting suggestions :)

I just realized all 4 of these are during Nights of Lights, I seriously need to expand my repetoire.  Not that there's any doubt it's the most beautiful time of year here...

This was my first, of the city skyline and the (original) Bridge of Lions.  Could there be a city on earth more beautiful at Christmas?  I think not...

This painting is of one of my favorite buildings in St. Augustine, The Alcazar Hotel, which is now home to City offices and The Lightner Museum.

I have loved this building ever since I was a kid, fascinated by the history, the architecture, the ambiance.  I even volunteered there to get more inspiration for my story, and was able to get a private tour of restricted sections :)

This painting is of the Plaza de la Constitucion.  During Nights of Lights, the oak trees in the plaza are all dripping with lights, and it is truly magical.

Some of you may have even been present during the "Nights of Lights Light-Up Night," at which there is a live band performing in the gazebo and a huge crowd of people waiting for "the flick of the switch."

Last but not least, my favorite of the four, and the one of which I sold my very first print- a painting of the Nights of Lights banner and traffic.  I painted this from a picture I found online.  I just loved the motion and flow of it, and wanted to try something new.
This area is front of the west Bridge of Lions entrance now has beautiful little courtyards and benches, all in preparation for the big  450th Anniversary of St. Augustine in 2015.
