"Confessions of the St. Augustine Sisters" Official Scavenger Hunt Challenge

1. Nombre de Dios: this is where it all begins...
the landing of Pedro Menendez de Aviles,
and the night in Alex's life when everything changes
-stand in the middle of the bridge and take a deep breath
-take a picture in the shadow of Francisco Lopez
-walk the "Path of 7 Sorrows"

and say a prayer for someone you love
-find a headstone epitaph that touches your heart
2.Castillo de San Marcos: completed in 1672, this fort is
now owned by the National Parks Service
-take a walk along the seawall
-find the shot furnace
-squeeze into the old powder magazine
(if you're claustrophobic, you may want to skip this one...)
-watch the firing of the canons

3. St. George Street: a popular place for a stroll
-listen to a street performer and give them a tip
-check out Earthbound and try on some masks
-sample some gelato at Cafe del Hidalgo
-give a gator or shark a smooch
-find a fountain and make a wish with a penny

concerts, speeches, and the world-famous Nights of Lights Light-Up Night ceremony
-discover 3 important historical events that occurred here
-pose like Pedro Menendez de Aviles
-straddle a canon for a great photo op
-stand in the gazebo and make an announcement
-pose with the St. Augustine foot soldier busts

5. Aviles Street: the oldest (and quaintest) street in St. Aug
-check out the awesome mural near the gates
-take a tour of the Spanish Military Hospital
-pop into one of the restaurants for a bite
-investigate at least one shop and one art gallery
-walk all the way to the south end and discover the
nearby "love tree," give each other a victory hug!
